In my upcoming campaign, one of my players has had this idea of an angel of some sort being captured by the foe he was sent to destroy and thrown down after being transformed into a mojh. So he starts off as a lvl 1 mojh magister and thinks of gaining certain celestial benefits later on. We looked through Savage Species, and he's decided to go Astral Deva around level 9, taking that racial class from then on.
Would the half-celestial templated racial class from Anger of Angles be a better choice? Why or why not? The reason I ask is that the Deva class is a 20-level thing, so there's no way he'll get around to experiencing the full benefits, and I think that the player - who's OK with the Deva class might feel a little cheated.
