One of the things I'd like to do over the holiday break (in addition to many long-overdue things like review some content for a friend) is to take a look at the feat point system, fine-tune some things, and start looking to price out the FRCS feats. I'm actually thinking that I may change the base from 10 points per feat to 8, but leave the costs as-is (that would make the really good feats better than average, rather than just average).

As a quick guess, let's compare +2 Str to other feats we've already priced. (I know you asked about +1 Str, but it's easier to look at it as a full ability score modifier improvement.)

Weapon Focus: This feat and Str both give a +1 to hit. Str also gives a bonus to damage. Str does not meet the prereqs for Weapon Spec, though. Str also gives a bonus to all melee attacks, not just to one weapon. Str also affects grapple attempts and Str-based skills, which WF doesn't. Str is almost certainly worth more than Weapon Focus.

Weapon Specialization: This feat gives +2 damage, while Str gives only +1 to damage. Str doesn't meet prereqs for later feats. Str affects all weapons, not just one. Str also affects grapple damage, which WS doesn't. Str is still probably worth more than Weap Spec.

If you just look at one weapon, Str is not as good as Weap Foc + Weap Spec (+1/+1 vs. +1/+2). If you look at multiple weapons, Str is better than that two-feat combo (+1/+1 vs. usually 0/usually 0). Of course, most characters are only going to be using a small set of weapons, so to be fair you should really only compare the "universal" Str bonus to about three weapons. Str still looks pretty good, but not quite as good as the two-feats in your primary weapon. Str +2 is probably worth somewhere around 18 points, so Str +1 would sorta be worth around 9 points, but that ignores that half the time you only need the +1 instead of the +2 to an ability score.
