Anger of Angels - Print edition |

I've been waiting for it to come out. Yes, yes - I know I'm impatient. But I was thinking about sending print editions for Christmas presents. It just says, "Print edition coming in December." When will it be available?

It came out this past week ... they had some at Gen Con So Cal. You should be able to order it from White Wolf if you can't find it in your local store (and tell your local store to order some, already! ;)).

Ah, silly me. I kept checking the Anger of Angels page on Monte's site. Funny, but I thought I checked WW a few days ago.
Ah well, I had several books I was waiting to order at once .... :click: |

I just received my copy of all four Midnight campaign settings in the mail. And I just finished a nice meaty computer contract, so I figure I'll make my order off of White Wolf in the next week or two:
Anger of Angels (have the PDF) When the Sky Falls Requiem for a God (have the PDF) The Diamond Throne With that, and Troll Lord's World Builder's Guidebook, I'll be caught up on my game book buying. |

I havn't bought a book for D&D in a long time (Since I had to get a 3.5 Handbook), but I'm seriously considering picking this up. Outside of Forgotten Realms I'm not a big fan of deities, I much more perfer the general Powers of Good vs. the Powers of Evil, Demons, Devils, and Angels kinda thing. I havn't been to the store to check this out yet, so I'll ask some questions here (and maybe get them answered ;) ).....
1. Does the book portray any "unique" or signifigant Angelic Powers? Comparable to the Demon Lords? or the Lords of the Nine? 2. Has it given more of a Diablo II feel to your game? 3. Is it hardback or paper-back? (excluding the PDF sillies) Thank ya'll. ____________________

1. Not especially. While there are profiles of the Eight Archangels (Gabriel, Metatron, Michael, Raguel, Raphael, Remiel, Uriel, Zarachiel), these are character outlines with the short-version stats (Alignment race class/level), and aren't meant to approach the sort of stat-blocking that appears in, say, Book of Vile Darkness. They do, however, point out which angels rule what Heaven, and the levels, combined with the base statistics for their angelic types, will let you figure out their CRs and (hopefully) their power level relative to the demon and devil lords.

{1. Does the book portray any "unique" or signifigant Angelic Powers? Comparable to the Demon Lords? or the Lords of the Nine?}
As Garen said, it gives short-stats for the archangels. I don't have BoVD so I don't know if they stat out the Lords of the Nine, but for most games you won't end up fighting the archangels. {2. Has it given more of a Diablo II feel to your game?} I don't have an answer for this one. :P {3. Is it hardback or paper-back? (excluding the PDF sillies)} It's a paperback (or "perfect-bound softback," to use industry lingo). --
